Weird Al was a kick!

We took the kids to the Spokane Fair last night. We bought tickets to see Weird Al perform at the fair.

What a fun show. The fair was uneventful as usual, but the kids love it. The concert on the other hand was great. Show started at 8:00. We got to the fair about 4:30 so we had time to do the family things before the show.

Al came on stage right at 8. He put on a good show. All of his hits. A bunch from the new album and even a bunch of oldies. Man that guy changed outfits more than Gwen Stefani did. Between each song he would have some Al TV playing clips while he changed in the back of a semi truck that was parked by the stage. He wore a red leather jacket for one of his M. Jackson songs. He pulled out the clothes from the videos for songs like “Pentium”, “White & Nerdy (rolling in on a segway)” and “Fat” – Yes he put on the fat suit for that song. Also he wore some disguises where he looked like Taylor Hicks and Kurt Cobain for their parody songs. One song he stripped off t-shirts for each verse ending up in a Sponge Bob T-shirt with Red polka-dot boxers and a pink tutu. Classic!

He did a few montages where he would just do a couple verses from each song. The show went on for a long time. Starting at 8, we left at 10 because we had to get kids home to bed. But as we walked across the street to our car at 10:15 we could still hear him playing. Well worth the $10 for the show! Way to go Al!

I took some shots and some video. I will see how they turned out tonight and get them put up.

TTFN.
