25k miles and counting…..
Thursday, July 3rd, 2008Last night I got home and looked down and the odometer on my motorcycle and notices I was less than 5 miles away from hitting 25k on my little beauty.
After traffic died down a bit I took Sammi Jo for a ride. She loves to ride on the back with Dad. Last night she did really well, she didn’t squirm like normal. My girls getting bigger
So together we rode out high drive and around the back side of the south hill, sometime durring that ride we turned the cycle over the 25k mile mark for me on that bike.
I love my Sabre, its a great bike and I have tricked it out to be my own incarnation of a motorcycle. And now my butt has worn a full 25k on it.
WOOOO HOOOOO!

Io, Rest In Peace!
Tuesday, April 29th, 2008Today is a very sad day!
Today Io passed away.
For those who do not know Io, she was the best German Shepherd I had the fortune of knowing. She was PB&J’s dog of almost 11 years.

I am linking to the pictures I have on my flickr until I can make a proper memorial site.

Io was an amazing dog. She is the only reason that I own dogs today.

She will be missed!

Wet Fence. How Cooooool!
Friday, July 20th, 2007As I told a few of you. This fence looks amazing when it gets wet.
Here are a couple pictures to show it off. Compare them to the pix a few post down when they are dry.
See how the there are spots that become a darker color and other still stay light. the contrast is great, and these pix don’t do it justice.
If the weather holds for the weekend I believe I should be able to finish the majority of the fence, which is mainly the inside trim and the top rail.

“Green Fence” Progress
Monday, July 16th, 2007My “Green Fence” in the making…..
Monday, July 2nd, 2007Â So we did some debt consolidation this year and ended up with extra so we could take care of some much needed work on the house. First being the fence.
We spent a few weeks researching fences. We were set on getting a new Vinyl fence put up. We had 6 fence contractors come out and give us quotes. Each one was different and tried to sell their type of vinyl to you, and were quick to bash the competition. I didn’t care for that part of the process. Then when it came down too it, the price was a bit over what I wanted to pay.
So we looked into some other options. Refurbishing the fence we already have with new wood and lattice. I didn’t like the idea of putting lattice up there again as thats what was mainly deteriorating the most. Stacy stumbles upon a website while she was looking at alternatives. She found a place called Cali Bamboo. They make all sorts of Bamboo products, fencing being one of them. So I dug in and did some more research into bamboo fencing. There are a lot of places out there that sell some real chincy bamboo, but the stuff from Cali Bamboo looked good. So I gave them a call. Great service from Jeff, he was cool to work with and gave me the skinny.
