My “Green Fence” in the making…..

So we did some debt consolidation this year and ended up with extra so we could take care of some much needed work on the house. First being the fence.

We spent a few weeks researching fences. We were set on getting a new Vinyl fence put up. We had 6 fence contractors come out and give us quotes. Each one was different and tried to sell their type of vinyl to you, and were quick to bash the competition. I didn’t care for that part of the process. Then when it came down too it, the price was a bit over what I wanted to pay.

So we looked into some other options. Refurbishing the fence we already have with new wood and lattice. I didn’t like the idea of putting lattice up there again as thats what was mainly deteriorating the most. Stacy stumbles upon a website while she was looking at alternatives. She found a place called Cali Bamboo. They make all sorts of Bamboo products, fencing being one of them. So I dug in and did some more research into bamboo fencing. There are a lot of places out there that sell some real chincy bamboo, but the stuff from Cali Bamboo looked good. So I gave them a call. Great service from Jeff, he was cool to work with and gave me the skinny.

A whole new world….

Checking in from Cyber Space…..

So far this has been a fun journey. The Mac sure is different from the PC i am so used to, but the change is very nice.

I bought a ne Western Digital “MyBook” 500 gig external USB 2.0 hard drive. I transfered over 100 gigs of music and Photos. With this drive I can take it between both the PC’s and the Mac. And when using it on the mac all the users can access the photos and music. It will work well and give me space to spare :-)

I have managed to hang the Mac twice in the last two days. Going to try some troubleshooting tonight to see if I can figure it out. This will be a learning experience. I know all to well how to troubleshoot and fix a PC, but im totaly lost when working with Mac. But I am excited to learn new things!

TTFN !
