Well I posted a few min ago with a new map for my August road trip.
Because of the gas prices I chose to shorten the trip. Also I have seen the oregon coastline more times than I can count, but have only been to Crater Lake once as a child and can not remember it. So I chose to keep the trip more inland, and then head over to my little brothers in Bozeman before wrapping up the trip.
We will start around the 25th of August. Going to ride back highways as much as possible and only hit the freeway when coming back.
Same Idea as before. No Schedule. Just 2 guys on bikes with a map and a rough time to be back.
Were going to head tward Crater Lake the first day – probably stop and camp somewhere around bend and then hit Crater lake on the second. Its only a 35 mile loop around the lake so we will spend the afternoon and take lots of pictures.
After Crater lake were going to head over to Idaho, and hit the lower part of Hells Canyon.
From Hells Canyon we will be heading up to Lewiston.
From Lewiston we will be heading for a ride down the beautiful Clearwater river over to Kamiah and Kooskia to spend a night at Grandmas property in the hills,
From grandmas we will be heading up through the LoLo Hotspring on our way to Bozeman to hang out with Rylan.
After spending a day or 2 with Rylan we will be blasting our way back home on I-90.
Should be a fun ride. Im thinking we will be taking 5 to 7 days depending on how were feeling.
Were revising the august trip.
With Gas prices the way they are I’m going to keep it a little closer to home.

There it is.
I’ll post more about the trip in a bit.

Last night I got home and looked down and the odometer on my motorcycle and notices I was less than 5 miles away from hitting 25k on my little beauty.
After traffic died down a bit I took Sammi Jo for a ride. She loves to ride on the back with Dad. Last night she did really well, she didn’t squirm like normal. My girls getting bigger
So together we rode out high drive and around the back side of the south hill, sometime durring that ride we turned the cycle over the 25k mile mark for me on that bike.
I love my Sabre, its a great bike and I have tricked it out to be my own incarnation of a motorcycle. And now my butt has worn a full 25k on it.
WOOOO HOOOOO!

Ha Ha.
Planning can be a bitch, but its going ok so far.
We are switching things up a bit in Washington – instead of just going sout to the 14 and running along the south side, Like i have done countless times driving to the coast. Instead we will head more inland, and hit a few nice roads that our own state has to offer.
I had someone on a forum i frequent, give me a link to a site with roads in each state that riders post their opinions about. When i looked at Oregon it was rather funny, we were already planning on hitting most of the roads recommended on this site. But for washington we were bypassing all the good stuff.
I’ll post more details on the route as we get it together.
I got a cool comment from Daniel @ Motorcycle-Superstore.com. Im going to try and add in a pit stop @ their shop along the way through Medford.
Im getting more excited every day.
And tonight I get my new Corbin seat, which should make all my trips a lot more comfy….

Starting to plan my Oregon ride.
I am planning on taking a nice ride this year on my motorcycle.
The route is going to be fun. I will start in spokane, head down past the tri-cities and take Highway 14 along the columbia on the washington side. Then cut north before vancouver and rude past the south side of Mt. St. Helens and then over to the WA coast. Then head down highway 101 all the way through OR and into the top of the redwood national park in CA. then back up into OR and head to Crater Lake. From there up to Walla Walla and then home.
Should be a fund trip. It looks like Pablo will be joining me so it wont be so lonely. I’ll have a total of 9 days to do the trip, so I will take my time and take lots of pictures and post along the way.
Nice to be on the bike again. Here is a shot taken with my iPhone tonday while Pablo and I stopped at Pepe’s during our ride.
