My good buddy Dr. H gave me some new music to listen to.

He and I are always turning eachother on to new artists. It sure is nice to have a friend like that.

This week he turned me on to “Collective Efforts”

Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends. - Album released 06/17/08

This album is phenomenal. One of thes best pieces of work I have heard in a long time.

It is so refreshing. Their rich sound is echoed through every song on the album. Now I catch myself turning the TV up when the iTunes comercial plays.

I was able to snag an early release and have been listening to pretty much nothing else for the last week.

Lost was the first single i heard and I really liked it, but now after hearing the album over and over I find myself drawn to few of the songs more than others.

42 - Nice upbeat tune with some very pretty soft spots. Typical Coldplay style!

Viva La Vida - Such a catchy tune. The beats on this track almost put me in a trance. I could play it over and over.

Violette Hill - More mellow song but the vocals on this are simply astonishing.

Strawberry Swing - This one gets my blood pumping. The Irish undertones with the trance inducing strokes of the cello and bass take me on a trip that i don’t want to return from.

Man i could go on and on and on…… But I better not

If you like Coldplay then do yourself a favor and go get this album. Run, don’t walk, call in sick to work, whatever it takes, just get it!
